Hi, I’m Nan Tepper. I want to tell you a bit about me and the services I offer.
I’m the creator of STYLEYOURSTACK:
I’m a writer, first and foremost, but I’m also a web + graphic designer with more than a decade of experience. My favorite people to work with are writers. It’s my specialty.
I design logos, brands, and websites, and I’m good at it. Besides having tech and design skills, I spend a lot of time asking questions when I meet with potential clients. I dig a little deeper than some, to learn about you and what your priorities are for your stack. Am I a coach? Yeah, I guess I am. Do I have a lot of opinions? Oh…YES, I do. And it delights me when you want to hear what they are. It makes it so much easier for both of us, because regardless, I’m going to share my thoughts with you!
My aim is to demystify the process of publishing on Substack, and to help you understand and utilize the tools available to you. These tools will allow you to do the thing you’re actually here to do: WRITE!
If you prefer not to do the backend work, I can lay out and schedule your posts, curate photos, and teach you about recording audio and video to add value to your publication. That will free you up even more to get back to the business of writing, which is why you’re here in the first place. You certainly don’t need my help with that.
I’m here to make sure that while you’re writing and publishing, you look good too!

Rates:
Initial consultation: $100/hour and $60/30 minutes. We’ll talk about your Substack newsletter, your likes and dislikes, style-wise, what you want to accomplish with your stack, and what you need to do it right! I’ll answer your questions and ask you plenty of my own.
I can also be your Virtual Substack Fairy. I’ll help you post, choose photos, schedule, and troubleshoot issues you might not know how to solve.
My general rate is $100/hour for services separate from the Style My Stack! package.

• StyleMyStack!: Well, you get it all––the whole shebang! A one-hour consultation with me so we can brainstorm together. I’ll tell you exactly what I need to make your stack real and fabulous. Package includes: logo, wordmark, cover image, and full set-up of your newsletter, and when we’re done, I’ll profile your stack and you! Full payment is due prior to onset of work. $1500/package.
About being a subscriber to Style Your Stack:
I’ll be publishing one-two profiles a month about the writers I’ve worked with, so you can see who they are and what they do. And of course, I’ll share the design elements I’ve created, whether it’s just a wordmark and logo, or a complete stack set-up. I’ll also be offering fun tidbits about design, color theory, and my love of fonts. If you’re interacting with me directly as a StyleMyStacker (the big one!) you’ll get the whole shebang (see StyleMyStack! above for more details). Once YOUR new stack is complete, I’ll feature you in a profile on StyleYOURStack. We’ll have fun!

A little more about me.
I started working on my first newsletter, The Next Write Thing, in January of 2024. I publish a weekly personal essay and have fallen in love with the Substack community. It’s become a hard habit to break, so I’ve decided I don’t have to. I’ll be launching my podcast January, 2025.
I’d like to spend all of my time on Substack doing the things I’m good at––writing and designing––and supporting writers in achieving some of their goals. In the process of settling in here, I’m meeting a lot of Substack writers who don’t know how or where to begin. I’ve worked with several clients already, helping them identify their visual message, their brand––I love brainstorming newsletter names––and I’ve taught them how to get their newsletters up and running.
And for something completely fun, take a gander at this video I made a while back, when my hairstyle was a little different. My pal Franco Vogt, the amazing NY-based portrait photographer helped me execute the concept. It’s dedicated to my love of eyeglasses and being silly!
